Prerna GOYAL

PhD Student

Prerna obtained her Bachelor of Engineering from Panjab University, Chandigarh India in 2010. She completed her Master of Technology from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee in 2012. Her research areas involved nano-coatings, biofuels and waste water management. She worked as an Assistant Professor in the Chemical Engineering department of Panjab University, Chandigarh India from 2012-2014. She also served as an Assistant Professor in the Chemical Engineering department of Chandigarh University, Mohali India from 2014-2016. In these roles, she was acknowledged for her excellent teaching skills. Prerna joined the Department of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering at National University of Singapore as a PhD Research Scholar under the supervision of Prof Shamsuzzaman Farooq in 2016.

While at CARES, Prerna's PhD work aimed to reduce the cost of capture of CO2 from flue gases for cleaner electricity generation by fossil fuel power plants.
