Profile

George FULHAM

Intern

George is a PhD student with Dr Ewa Marek at the Cambridge Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology. He obtained his BA and MEng in chemical engineering at Cambridge. During this time, he worked within the Cambridge Aviation Impact Accelerator to investigate the production costs of candidate fuels for aviation and modelled their performance (range, fuel burn and emissions) onboard aircraft. The work was finalised as a free-to-use simulator for comparing the emissions and cost to fly any flight route with a fuel of the user's choosing. See Aviation Impact Accelerator for more details.

George was on a one-month visit to CARES to work with Prof Liu Wen (Paul) and Ms Xianyue Wu to characterise copper-based catalysts for carbon dioxide hydrogenation to methanol.
