Travelling to Singapore to meet 14 Nobel Laureates and 200 young scientists at GYSS 2017, PhD student Camilla Penney reports

Doing a PhD comes with a plethora of opportunities, but they don’t normally involve travelling to Singapore to meet 14 Nobel Laureates and 200 young scientists from all imaginable disciplines. The Global Young Scientists’ Symposium in January 2017 was the exception. Camilla Penney, PhD student, Department of Earth Sciences reports.

The annual Global Young Scientists Summit (GYSS) will take place at the Singapore University of Technology and Design from 15 to 20 January 2017.  The Summit welcomes over 250 of the world’s outstanding PhDs and post-doctoral fellows. CREATE and CARES look forward to welcoming GYSS participants to their offices and labs on 18th January 2017.
