Profile

Dr David ECKHOFF

Collaborator

Dr David Eckhoff earned his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Erlangen in 2016, with research on simulation and data privacy in intelligent transport systems that was nominated for best PhD thesis in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. He has held international research positions, including as a visiting scholar at the University of Melbourne, and has been based in Singapore since 2016, where he is a Principal Scientist at TUMCREATE working on transport simulation. In 2020, David co-founded intobyte Pte. Ltd., a Singapore-based start-up delivering high-performance transport simulation solutions using CityMoS - a software platform developed from his academic work.

In the HD4 project, David’s expertise in simulation and modelling of transport systems will support the integration of transport data with the SG100K cohort, enabling systematic correlation of behaviours and health outcomes with traffic emissions, access to public transport, and spatial accessibility to points of interest.
