Profile

Dr Yu SHAO

Research Fellow

Dr Yu Shao received his BEng degree (2017) in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from NTU and his PhD (2022) in Integrative Sciences and Engineering from NUS. He worked as a Research Fellow at NUS, before joining CARES through NTU in February 2023 under the C4T programme. Currently, he is working with Asst Prof Liu Wen (Paul) as a Research Fellow and has been working on the synthesis of structurally defined nanomaterials for their applications in heterogeneous catalysis, particularly in the thermocatalytic conversion of CO2 into methanol.

Dr Shao is currently working on the design and preparation of a new class of mixed metal oxide materials, for their targeted application in chemical looping carbon capture and utilisation.
