Dr Taku WAKABAYASHI
Research Fellow
Dr Taku Wakabayashi is an organic chemist with expertise in photoredox catalysis, metal complex chemistry, quantum chemical calculations, and machine learning. He received his PhD in chemistry from Nagoya University, Japan, where he developed photocatalytic CO2 reduction using metal complexes. In 2025, he joined CARES and the SM3 project under the supervision of Prof Chiba at NTU. His current research focuses on developing and elucidating novel photoredox reactions for the transformation of hub molecules.
