Profile

Dr Zifeng WENG
Research Fellow
Dr Zifeng Weng obtained his PhD in Engineering Thermophysics from Tsinghua University in 2025. His research interests include numerical simulation for renewable fuels in energy conversion processes; advanced concepts and their fundamentals in energy and propulsion systems; and data-driven, reduced-order modeling methods.
In 2025, he joined CARES as part of the HYCOMBS project under the supervision of Professor Huangwei Zhang. The project aims to understand the energy conversion process and the safety of renewable energy, particularly for hydrogen and ammonia. The research contributes to the development of a net-zero emission energy system.
