Dr Xueni ZHANG
Research Fellow
Xueni obtained her PhD in Translation Studies from Durham University and her MPhil in Second Language Education from the University of Cambridge. Using a combination of eye-tracking and reaction time measures, her doctoral study examined cross-language co-activation in simultaneous interpreting and the effects of interpreting experience on executive functions. Xueni’s research interests lie in the cognitive aspects of bilingualism and interpreting, language production, executive control, and intercultural communication.
