Profile

Dr Yi HUANG

Research Fellow

Dr. Yi Huang received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Tsinghua University and possesses extensive experience in both academia and industry. He previously worked at the R&D Center of China FAW Group Corporation, where he was engaged in vehicle performance and new energy technology development. In 2025, he joined the Cambridge Centre for Advanced Research and Education in Singapore (CARES) as a researcher in the HYCOMBS project under the mentorship of Professor Fei Duan.

His research focuses on zero-carbon power systems for heavy-duty vehicles, particularly ammonia combustion mechanisms and emission control, as well as ammonia–hydrogen hybrid propulsion systems. He is also dedicated to system configuration design, optimal energy management, and multi-scale system modeling using artificial intelligence. His research has been published in leading international journals, including Energy, Rare Metals, and Automotive Innovation.
