Dr Jiong CHENG

Research Fellow

Dr Cheng Jiong obtained his Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and his PhD degree in Environmental Science from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2018 and 2024, respectively. His research focuses on developing catalytic strategies for the conversion of biomass and carbon dioxide into value-added chemicals and fuels.

He joined CARES and the SM3 project in 2025 under Prof Yan Ning, where he works on designing new synthetic approaches to obtain hub molecules from biomass.
