Dr Nastassja LOPES FISCHER

Dr Nastassja Lopes Fischer is an Education Research Scientist at the National Institute of Education and a Co-Principal Investigator for the CLIC School Workgroup. She joined CLIC in July 2021 as a Research Fellow and became co-PI in 2026. Dr. Fischer's current research area includes the understanding of cognitive abilities (e.g., cognitive flexibility) involved in creative and inventive thinking during adolescence, and how it contributes to better learning. She has an extensive background using cognitive testing and neuroimaging methods (e.g., EEG) to study social media behavior, students’ social skills and creative and executive function abilities.
