Profile

Dr Chunchu BALAJI

Research Fellow

Dr Balaji completed his PhD at Indian Institute of Technology Madras, India (2024) where his research focused on the mechanistic investigations for CO₂ conversion to methanol and its subsequent transformation into hydrocarbons. His work primarily involved advanced computational modelling techniques, including density functional theory (DFT) and microkinetic modelling, aimed at enabling sustainable chemical production.

Currently, he is a Research Fellow at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. His research focuses on integrating computational approaches with machine learning techniques to accelerate catalyst discovery and optimization. His broader goal is to contribute to the development of efficient and sustainable catalytic processes for energy and environmental applications.
