Dr Wubin XIE
Senior Research Fellow
Dr. Wubin Xie obtained his Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) in Global Health from George Washington University. He has published widely on non-communicable disease epidemiology and population health, with 35 peer-reviewed papers or editorials (14 as first or corresponding author). His work has appeared in leading international journals in epidemiology, public health, and the social sciences, including the American Journal of Public Health, American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, Circulation, and JAMA Network Open. He has also served as a peer reviewer and/or guest editor for over 40 journals.
Dr. Xie has extensive experience working in low- and middle-income countries, first as a program manager and later as a researcher. Prior to his academic career, he worked with large global health and development agencies, managing primary care programs for tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, malaria, drug abuse, and maternal and child health in China and Myanmar. He has served as a co-investigator or collaborator on eight research grants funded by U.S. federal agencies, the UK National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), and commercial entities. His current research interests include behavioral epidemiology of physical activity, tobacco use, and sleep.
