Dr Zhen GUO

Senior Research Fellow

Dr Zhen Guo obtained his Bachelor and Master degrees in chemistry at Wuhan University, China, and his PhD degree in chemical engineering at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He has been working in industry and academia for eight years. Dr Guo was a trained chemical engineer in heterogeneous catalysis and is now interested in computer aided chemical processes design.

He co-founded the company Chemical Data Intelligence (CDI) in 2020 which takes advantages of Big Data in Chemistry and works to develop network analysis tools that can help users to identify more sustainable routes to target products. Dr Guo along with another CARES Research Fellow Dr Nicholas Jose started the CARES Commercialisation Talks in 2020 where speakers from tech start-ups and chemical companies are invited each month to talk about scientific tech commercialisation.
